I always test 4 cameras per cartridge. When I build up 4 cameras to test I use a fresh cartridge and shoot 12 feet with each one. I have doen this alot and removing a cartridge in mid roll only burns 4-6 frames of film which happens to work well as an indicator of a camera change.
